As we are moving back to the UK due to work commitments, a unique opportunity to purchase a piece of sunny Southern Spain along with an English static caravan has arisen.
A cheap way of living, with no extra costs that would normally be incurred with large residential sites. Two kilometres from Biar, 30 minutes from Alicante and 45 minutes from Benidorm, set in the middle of olive groves, no neighbours, just peace and quiet with magnificent views.
The Caravan
29' x 10' English static caravan, fully laminate floored throughout, spacious living room with 3 piece suit, gas fire, extended kitchen with arga style gas cooker with its own separate built-in gas bottle, large fridge/freezer, double bedroom with wardrobe, bathroom with shower, gas boiler supplying hot water. Electric is supplied by a one kW wind turbine generator, the water is supplied via a 1,000 litre deposit tank.
The second bedroom has been removed, enabling the kitchen to be extended to a large serviceable area. You may need to put in a new toilet as the existing one is pink without a cistern lid, serviceable, but not matching!
The Land
1,652 square meters of rustic land, cleared and levelled and set among olive trees. The land itself holds 13 olive trees, 4 young fruit trees, a double bird aviary measuring 18' x 6' and a large 2.4 meter satellite dish. Access is approximately 600 meters from the main road, the track to the land is excellent and without potholes. This is not building land, but ideal for static caravan and/or tourer caravan. We currently have a tourer also on the land for guests, this however, is not for sale.
The static caravan has only been sited for a couple of months and due to refurbishment has not yet been 'hooked up'. The wind generator is a brand new complete kit and is still boxed costing in the region of € 12,000 in Spain (no joke, they are really expensive here!), the water deposit tank requires pipework to the caravan and a septic tank would need to be installed.
We would arrange and pay for the paperwork to be typed up for the transfer of the land via a solicitor here in Spain. The buyer would need to pay for the actual transfer of the land into their name via the Notoria when they sign for the land, this may be in the region of € 500 and would be paid to the Notoria on the day. A more accurate figure would be available if interested.
On the whole, this is a fantastic chance to own a piece of land with accommodation at a very good price. No more electric bills, gas by the bottle, only € 13 a bottle and could last up to 3 weeks, water via deposit tank which is collected locally at approximately 40 cents per 1,000 litres.
