Poetry:

One day you’ll remember and you’ll smile,
And for every moment that stole your breath,
I’d write the most sweetest words known to my heart,
Rewriting each moment all over again.

You’ll surrender a heart once sheltered from disappointment,
And for every second that I was gone,
I’d make it up to you with the promise of forever,
And the promise that each day with you would only get better.

You’ll see that my love for you was not easy to show,
And if only for a minute there was ever a doubt,
I’d take back all the bad things I had said if I could,
That way you’d see all the good that I’m about.

One day you’ll want things back the way they were,
And for every day that you felt like you didn’t belong,
I’d spend another day waiting for you, patiently.
Now, I see, it was you and me all along.
