The Lizard Island Classic attracts anglers from around the world hoping to tag one of the giant fish. For a week they fish along the famous Ribbon Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef and do battle with the marlin that congregate there.

Black Marlin is a fish found in tropical and subtropical waters, not far from the surface.

Black Marlin are classed as game fish, with a maximum published weight of 750KG.

Basically a BMF.
