The CNN segment on the William Dillon story -- featuring the fraudulent dog handler John Preston -- did not air Wednesday night.The segment, to be shown on the "Anderson Cooper 360" television news show, was postponed until tonight at 10 and 11.A crew from the popular news show was in Brevard County on Monday to interview Dillon, as well as Melissa Montle of the Innocence Project of Florida.Dillon served 27 years in the Florida prison system for a 1981 murder.But DNA testing done last year excluded him from a key piece of evidence the prosecution claimed the murderer wore.Preston, who testified in dozens of Brevard cases and later was proven to be a fraud, provided key evidence against Dillon during trial.Contact Torres at 242-3649 or jtorres@floridatoday.com.
