If this sounds like you - apply today and join the Alegent team! Clinical Testing Analyst Follows all standard laboratory procedures and policies, including patient preparation and identification. Properly collects and prepares specimens including labeling, handling, preservation or fixation, processing, transportation and storage. Performs only moderately complex testing ; resulting, communicating, and documenting in a timely manner to clinical personnel involved in patient care. Operates, calibrates, troubleshoots, maintains, conducts performance checks, and maintains clinical lab instruments with appropriate documentation. Has a working knowledge of reagent stability and storage and quality control policies and procedures. Has an awareness of factors that influence test results, and can assess and verify the validity of patient test results through quality control. Recognizes & corrects basic instrument malfunctions; refers serious problems to supervisor. Maintains competency as assigned with timely completion of testing. Follows Lean Principles and standard work, laboratory procedures and policies. Meet department defined turnaround times by working collaboratively with all parts of the process. Gives constructive input to improve processes. Follows CAP and all regulatory guidelines, demonstrating consistent adherence to national safety goals. Shows improvement in decreasing common errors.
