Christopher Earl Glass picked up his 5-month-old son from a relative's home and then drove to the home of the child's mother in Palmdale, reported CBS station KCBS.

Glass and the mother got into an argument, and in the heat of the argument Glass drove away with the boy still in the car, according to the child-abduction alert issued
