LSU is back atop college baseball.

The Tigers overpowered Texas 11-4 on Wednesday night at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb., in the winner-take-all Game 3 of their championship series.It's LSU's sixth College World Series crown.Texas scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the score at four, but LSU responded with five runs in the top of the sixth to take control of the game.Now that's a doubleLSU's Jared Mitchell and Chad Jones soon will have baseball national championship rings to go with their 2007 football national championship bling.Mitchell, a junior right fielder who plays receiver for the football team, staked the Tigers to a 3-0 lead in the first inning with a two-out, three-run homer.

He was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.Jones, a safety on the LSU football team, pitched 1 2/3 scoreless, no-hit innings in relief.Shout out to AFALSU coach Paul Mainieri said in the ninth inning his thoughts drifted to his former players - including those at Air Force.
