Cedric Peerman

OWINGS MILLS - With a pick in the sixth round that they acquired in a trade with the Denver Broncos, the Ravens selected running back Cedric Peerman of Virginia.

He was the 185th overall pick.

Peerman, 5 feet 9, 216 pounds, is built along the same lines as Ray Rice, the Ravens' second-round pick last year.

Pro Football Weekly had Peerman ranked 111th entering the draft.

He joins Willis McGahee, Rice and Le'Ron McClain in the Ravens' backfield.
