California, Castro Valley, Cheryl L. White & Associates
Cheryl is a seasoned trial attorney who has won millions in verdicts and settlements on behalf of plaintiffs since she began practicing. Cheryl has taken numerous asbestos cases to trial in Northern
California over the last decade, championing the rights of injured workers and their families to compensation for their occupational exposures to toxins. She communicates and works with asbestos
plaintiffs' attorneys all over the country to provide her clients with the best possible representation. In 2005, Cheryl assumed management of the San Francisco office of a plaintiffs' firm
headquartered in Texas, Brent Coon & Associates. In addition to overseeing the growth of the office from four to over forty employees, she took over from other law firms the prosecution in
Northern California of the claims of injured workers suffering from silica-related diseases. She worked tirelessly to overcome adverse legislation, investigations, and court orders from out-of-state
jurisdictions to earn these Northern California cases respectability by both the court and defense firms. The first of those cases are set for trial in November 2007 and in February 2008. During her
two year tenure at the San Francisco office, she also tried and settled numerous asbestos cases on behalf of injured workers with asbestosis, lung cancers, and mesotheliomas. Prior to her management
of Brent Coon's San Francisco office, Cheryl managed her own solo practice in Alameda, California, where she prosecuted the claims of civil plaintiffs and family law litigants while also meeting the
needs of local residents in Alameda for general legal services. She handled her own busy docket of 12 asbestos cases, often taking and successfully litigating difficult cases that other firms
declined to handle. Cheryl has been an active volunteer since beginning to practice. From 1995-96, she served as a Judge Pro Tempore in Solano County. She has presented programs on solo practice and
beginning family law for MCLE presentations sponsored by the Alameda County Bar Association. She has served as a pro bono advocate for indigent and low-income family law litigants and people needing
adoptions, health care, wills and trusts in Solano, San Francisco, and Alameda Counties, and as one of the family law courtroom volunteers to draft orders after Alameda County family law hearings.
When not trying cases, Cheryl roots for her beloved California "Cal Bears" and San Francisco 49ers football teams, makes music with friends and family and travels.
