Firm Overview. Palmer & Jones is a full-service law firm serving the needs of clients in the North Bay Area and the rest of California. We handle a diverse spectrum of practice areas, including real estate, representation of landlords, estate planning, wills, trust, probate, business and employment law, corporations, general and limited partnerships, LLC's, family law dissolution and mediation, bankruptcy, and we also represent the business and real estate needs of the owners and operators of mobilehome parks. Since Clark Palmer established his general practice in Novato in 1951, our firm has expanded to offer a full range of legal services to North Bay businesses and individuals. By choice, our firm has remained small in order to provide legal services in a cost effective and result-oriented manner at a quality equal to or exceeding those offered by large firms. We attend to the individual needs of our clients and counsel them so that they are informed, active participants in the management of their legal concerns. Firm History. The Palmer law firm, now known as Palmer & Jones, was founded by Clark M. Palmer, a graduate of Stanford University, in 1951, when he joined the late Judge Faulkner in the small town of Novato, California. Setting up a general civil practice, the firm has grown with the town, and later city, of Novato, serving the general business, real estate, commercial, estate planning, probate, family law, and other civil law needs of clients from the Novato, Marin County, and North Bay areas. Currently the firm handles a diverse spectrum of practice areas, such that it is indeed a full service law firm. Bruce M. Palmer, also a graduate of Stanford University and of Hastings College of the Law, joined the firm in 1976. David Price Jones, a U.C. Berkeley and Boalt Hall graduate, joined the firm in 1981. Community Involvement. Clark Palmer was the founding president of the Rotary Club of Novato. David Price Jones and Bruce Palmer have followed in subsequent years as president of the Novato Rotary Club. Clark Palmer was the City Attorney for the City of Novato from 1960 until 1979. David Price Jones was the Mayor of the City of Novato in 1974-1975, and has been an active leader in the Novato Presbyterian Church. Bruce Palmer was on the board of directors of the Nova-Ro corporation for six years, and served a term on the board of directors of the Novato Human Needs Center.
