Mark Sanford is having an affair with an Argentina resident named Maria Belén Shapur, it has been revealed.

Without naming the woman, Mark Sanford admitted the afair and said that he will resign as head of the Republican Governor's Association.According to a blog, Maria Belén Shapur is an impressive woman: she speaks several languages and works for Bunge y Born, a large agribusiness and grain trading company.Fox news reports Sanford as saying "I met this person a little over eight years ago, again, very innocently, and struck up a conversation".
