Bronx Community College (dhp)
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The Displaced Homemaker Program has been in operation since 1986. Our primary goal is to prepare and assist displaced homemakers to enter or re-enter the paid workforce. A displaced homemaker is anyone who has experienced loss of income through any of the following:
Divorce
Separation
Death-Partner/Spouse
Employment loss-Partner/Spouse
Disability
Loss of support as a caretaker
Abandonment
The preparation process includes job development workshops, basic and / or intermediate computer training, counseling and job search and job placement assistance, in addition to educational information and referrals.
We are including program flyers which we urge you to distribute to clients and / or parents who may benefit from our services. Please do not hesitate to provide them with our number.
The Displaced Homemaker Program is interested in working together with you to better serve our community. If you have any questions please call to (718)289-5828. Please feel free to make extra copies of our flyers for distribution.
Thank you for posting the DHP flyers and for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The DHP Staff
