Braveheart

Fresh from our "What's wrong with this picture?" file, Dana Milbank of the Washington Post is reporting that House Republicans "huddled" in the basement of the Capitol building to liken themselves to the 13th-century Scottish rebel William Wallace portrayed in the film Braveheart.

Instead of discussing the pros and cons of voting against a payroll-tax cut for the middle class or an extension of jobless benefits for the unemployed, they cheered themselves for "holding the line" against a bipartisan group that had reached a compromise on these issues
