Borgias

Written and produced by The Crying Game's Neil Jordan, The Borgias takes at face value most every accusation ever leveled at the family (many of which were spread after their deaths by their enemies), while adding a few sins of its own.

Still, if it plays a bit fast and loose with facts, it's nowhere near as outrageous as its Showtime cousin The Tudors, whose ever-young, ever-fit Henry VIII was an affront to history and to common sense..
