Responsibilities and Requirements: This position requires a bachelor  degree in education or equivalent, with Certification as required by the State of Texas.  This position requires the ability to apply knowledge of current education, instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, principles, and knowledge of subject matter.  Incumbent must have knowledge of State, Local, and Federal laws and regulations affecting the lives and education of students.  This position requires the ability to identify abnormal child development or growth and taking the appropriate action.  Incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media.  Incumbent must have the ability to work with others as a team, organize, maintain records, and manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.  Incumbent must have the ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.  Incumbent should be willing to contribute directly or indirectly to the development of children both inside and outside the classroom, which may include working hours in addition to the regular school day.
