Band Camp
June 26, 2009�������� ������������William Penn University and Youth In Music will host a marching band camp on campus for students and directors July 13 – 15.
The camp will provide students with the opportunity to develop skills and leadership in their particular areas of interest.
����������� Sessions and clinics of the camp will focus on the following areas:� marching I-II, color guard, drum major and drum line/pit.
Band directors may also receive instruction to enhance their skills in these areas through workshops run by some of the finest educators, instructors and clinicians in the country.
����������� The instructors participating in the camp include Todd Dufalt of Todd Dufalt Marching Academy, who will be leading marching I and II workshops; Ben Harloff of the Crown Drum and Bugle
Corps, who will be instructing drum majors; Matt Kettelhut of the Minn., Brass and Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, who will be specializing in percussion; and Denise Hudson, a high school and
collegiate color guard clinician, who will be leading the color guard sessions.
����������� The camp will also host featured clinician Jim Hudson, who will be leading the directors' clinics as well as "The Breathing Gym." Hudson has worked for Arizona State University and
University of Kansas as the director of athletic bands, and for Southwest Texas State University as the director of bands.����������� The camp has both individual and group rates, as well as rates
for overnight campers and commuters.
