2001, 1997,1998 American Silver Eagle Coins

These are the highest rated coins in the land. Take one, two, or all three. These coins are rated MS70 by ANACS. More on this below...

Guaranteed by the U.S. Government for its content, weight, and purity, each Silver Eagle contains one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver.

The design for the coin’s obverse is based on Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic image of the flag draped “Walking Liberty” featured on the 1916 half dollar.  The revival of this beloved US coin design helped the Silver Eagle become one of the most sought-after silver coins in the world.

The coin’s reverse was designed by John Mercanti and features a heraldic eagle behind a shield.  Based on the design of the Great Seal of the United States, Mercanti’s eagle grasps an olive branch in one talon and a bundle of arrows in the other.  In the eagle’s beak is a banner with the inscription ‘E Pluribus Unum,’ and above it are thirteen stars representing the original thirteen states.

Or try the 1993-S PR 70 DCAM ANACS Silver Thomas Jefferson Commemorative

This commemorative silver dollar was minted in 1993.

The obverse of the coin, designed by sculptor/engraver T. James Ferrell, depicts a bust of the left profile of Thomas Jefferson, with his name and the words “Architect Of Democracy” inscribed across the top.  The years 1743 and 1993 are inscribed on either side of the image, to honor Jefferson’s 250th anniversary.

The reverse design, also created by Ferrell, shows Jefferson’s beloved estate, Monticello.

This perfect PR70 proof coin was struck exclusively at the San Francisco, CA. mint facility, while the uncirculated, non-proof versions were minted in Philadelphia.

Proof coins are produced with special, highly-polished dies and have an immediately recognizable ultra-shiny appearance.  These eye-catching coins are sure to become fast favorites of yours to own… and to proudly display.

But there is also the 2001-P PR70 DCAM ANACS Silver American Buffalo

Minted in 2001, these commemorative silver coins recreate James Earle Fraser's famous Buffalo nickel design that circulated from 1913 to 1938. That design is regarded as among the best of any U.S. coins, and features two American icons: the right profile of a Native American, and an American Buffalo.

The obverse shows the profile of a Native American. The image is a composite from sketches made of 3 different Native Americans-Chiefs: Iron Tail, Chief Big Tree and Chief Two Moons - who each modeled for Fraser for this coin. All three were performers in Wild West Shows in New York City.

The reverse bears the image of an American Buffalo (also known as a bison) - an important symbol for many Native Americans. The buffalo model came from the Central Park Zoo and is believed by most to be the bison named Black Diamond, a popular attraction in the 1910's.

These proof silver dollars were minted at the Philadelphia mint facility and bear the 'P' mint mark. Struck with highly polished dies, they contain 90% silver and have an immediately recognizable mirror-like finish.

This coin was issued to commemorate the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) whose purpose is the study of Native Americans, including their language, literature, history, art, and anthropology. The museum features more than 10,000 years of American history.

These coins were only available from the U.S. Mint from June 7, 2001, until they sold out on June 21, 2001.

This Mint State coin is sure to become a fast favorite of yours to own... and to proudly display.
