Amazing Polynesian Island Sculpture

Here is a very classy sculpture done in Oahu, Hawaii from monkey pod wood.  The artist has taken great pains to make this realistic to the Polynesian area landscape.  This gives a sculpture over eight feet tall.

A special item is the albatross bird in fine detail. Being fully realistic in size, it commands the viewer look upward to where it has just emerged from the clouds.  The bird was sculpted from the original branch and not glued on later.

Down to the water level and below you will see many different kinds of native fish, other aquatic creatures and two humpback whales breaching near the shore line. 

Many other details can be seen and this sculpture must be appreciated by carefully scanning the entire piece.
