The Alaska Ferry System also known as the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System, begins its journey in beautiful Bellingham Washington at the Fairhaven Cruise Terminal. This modern ferry terminal is conveniently located next to the Amtrak Cascades Train Station & Greyhound Bus Station, making it easy to arrive to Bellingham from either Seattle or Vancouver B.C. and hop on a ferry to incredible Alaska. The Alaska Ferries are an alternative to Alaska Cruises from Seattle on larger mega cruise ships although they are more luxurious and have showrooms, casinos, lounges and bars throughout the ships.
