BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.

-- The family of a Boynton Beach man shot to death last month wants to know why the man arrested in connection with the shooting has since been released."My son was murdered, and they let the guy go scot-free," said Jerome Burgess.

"The guy is a convicted felon."Justin Austin, 19, was released from jail after his arrest in the shooting death of Preston Burgess last month.

Boynton Beach police said Austin also shot the victim's brother, Aaron Andrews, but he survived.The Burgess family is looking for answers."My son is dead, and for him to just walk free is like my son lived for nothing," said Jerome Burgess.

"It doesn't make sense.

I need somebody to tell me what's going on with this."According to police, Austin shot at the two brothers while they were in their car.

Preston Burgess died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.Boynton Beach police said they could not comment on the case.

Officials referred WPBF News 25 to the state attorney's office, but that office was unable to provide any further information on Austin's release."They call this justice?" said Jerome Burgess.
