Our firm handles employment matters on behalf of both employees and employers. We have successfully negotiated favorable results for employees who have been wrongfully terminated, subjected to illegal discrimination (including sexual harassment), paid improper wages, or unlawfully retaliated against by their employer for improper reasons, as well as in other related claims. While we handle most cases on a contingency fee basis, which means the employee pays no attorneys' fees unless there is a favorable outcome, we are selective in the cases in which we accept such representation. This allows us to devote more time and resources to our employee clients, which is critical to obtaining good results in the employment litigation field. In addition to representing employees, we also represent employers in defending against a wide range of claims by their employees, including among others, breach of contract, wrongful termination, discrimination, fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and other similar claims. Tali Shaddow, the attorney who oversees our employment matters, has extensive experience in representing employers in defending against employee claims, and has had repeated successes in obtaining summary judgments for employers. We also represent employers in responding to administrative complaints filed through the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and can additionally assist employers in conducting internal investigations, as well as drafting employment policies and handbooks. We are available to advise employers concerning certain employment practices and issues. While our hourly rates are far lower than those of midsize and large firm attorneys, we take pride in generating work product of the highest quality. In addition to our Employment practice, we also represent individuals who have been seriously injured (maimed, burned, physically or emotionally scarred, paralyzed or killed) at home, work, or anywhere else.
