Location: Parsippany, NJ

Responsibilities: Responsible for service level riskless trading for FCs, including sourcing and identifying opportunities in assigned markets, building bond ladders, creating and proposing client swaps. Also responsible for marketing municipal bonds to the retail branch network by disseminating product and market information and by followingup on the merchandising of available securities. Will educate the sales force through branch office communications and visits; educating and training brokers on the products and; generating sales ideas. Also responsible for supporting traders for bids wanted, inquiries, swaps, ladders and other required functions to facilitate trades by wealth management FCs.Key Accountabilities:To be a successful Municipal Inquiry Trader you will:Communicate with street traders in other firms, identifying opportunities for FCs and clients, initiating and completing riskless trades.Act on behalf of firm as authorized trader, receiving bid lists and taking confirmation for trades on relevant trading desk.Operate within trading authorizations as promulgated by trading management, and within all regulatory requirements and RBC Standing Orders and policies.Communicate with and visit branch offices to educate Financial Consultants on municipal products.Develop and distribute marketing materials for municipal securities.Provide backup to Retail Traders as needed and support as requested.Assist in maintaining accurate revenue capture, inventory control, risk metrics, regulatory reporting.Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):Basic Requirements:BA/BS with courses in economics, finance, technology and marketing.Minimum 3 years experience working on a fixed income liaison desk or marketing products and ideas to Financial Consultants.Series 7 licenseDemonstrated knowledge of fixed income markets, economics, marketing strategies, municipal investors, financial instruments, office operations.Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg and other investment software packages.Demonstrated mulittasking and organizational skills in a fast paced, high cusomter service based enviroment.Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Preferred Requirements: Previous experience planning, executing and managing projects.Prior sales experience.Demonstrated ability to be flexibile and patient in stressful situations.Required Skills/ Competencies/ Attributes:Education:BA/BSRequired Accreditation(s):Special Conditions:NoneDiversity:Diversity in the workplace, one of our shared values, lies at the heart of our rewarding, open, supportive and inclusive work environment.
