Responsibilities: Familiarity with pedagogical and andragogical learning principles and other notable instructional design philosophies, strategies, and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts to instructional content and development processes. ' Understanding of written communications and visual display and message design principles. Ability to articulate learning objectives that are practical, focused, concise, and measurable. ' Strong analytical, logic, and problem-solving skills for analyzing and identifying user needs, proposing solutions, and logically organizing complex information. ' Ability to transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective programs. ' Strong ability to work on multiple, complex projects within aggressive timeframes, to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables, and meet deadlines. Solid project planning and management skills. ' Excellent interpersonal skills, especially written and oral communications skills, including being able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, SMEs, project managers and other stakeholders, and collaborate both in person and long distance. ' Familiarity with relevant computer programs and course delivery platforms, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. General proficiency in Visio, Camtasia, Raptivity, Dreamweaver, Flash, various LMSs et al, is a plus. ' Willingness to stay abreast of current research and trends in ID, technology, cognitive science, and related fields, and to occasionally present and/or publish to both internal and external audiences on relevant topics. ' Key personal qualities include: solid work ethic, dependability, initiative, strong integrity and accountability, high level of flexibility, creativity, imagination, and artistic flair. Other Requirements: Formal education or equivalent experience ' Zero to two years experience designing and developing instructor-led, self-study, and/or web-based instruction in the academic or corporate training fields. AND ' Masters degree or higher in Instructional Design, Learning, Technology and Instruction, or related field. Equivalent years of education and successful work experience in Instructional Design/Technology or another closely related field, with ID Certification, will be considered. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to handle a high volume of work in a short period of time, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and operate in a demanding work environment is important.
