Nano scanner to rescueBy Diana ForbesNano UV disinfectant scannerhttp://zadro.biz/shopping_cart.php?sort=4a$79.95With the spread of swine flu, many people are dousing themselves in Purel, but this might be an additional weapon in your war against germs.

It's called the Nano UV disinfectant scanner.

It's about the size of a cell phone. How it works is that the UV rays in the small device are waved over the object you want to sanitize.

The company claims it will kill 99 percent of the germs on the object.

This would be very good for business travelers given the state of hygiene on most airlines.

I can imagine zapping just about everything on a plane, including the passenger next to me.Potato chip makerAdvertisementhttp://www.gadget4all.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00840dept_id=&cat_id=003$14This product comes with a potato slicer, along the lines of the old Ron Popeil one, and a plastic tray. How it works is, you slice your potato (any kind will do).

Then, place the slices in between the slots on the plastic tray.Once you have them all lined up, the tray goes into the microwave and voila you have home made potato chips without frying.

What I like about this method is you have a choice of seasoning: no salt, lots of salt, etc.Site to SeeVirtual Photo Boothhttp://laphotocabine.comThis is a really fun site.

It's in French but don't let that scare you.

Even if you don't speak the language you can still use the site.

The only thing you do need is either a built-in camera on your computer or a Web cam.

If you do, then once you go to the site it will appear like those old photo booths.Once you press the red button, it will take four photos in a row and spit them out onto your desktop.

You can then print them out or e-mail them to friends.
