Pianist Playing In App Store

For the very first time in my life I thought about playing a piano. I like music but never imagined that such an application would be available for my iPhone. Pianist is the piano for iPhone. The idea is very simple. It's a complete 88 keys piano with almost every function that the real one has.

At first it seemed a little odd to have a piano the size of an iPhone but soon it starts to give a wonderful experience. The key spacing is done very logically to enhance convenience and comfort while playing. There is an option for recording and editing. However, self assistance or piano tutorial is missing which gives novice players a cold touch for the application. Even without so many professional stuffs it's still cool to play.
There are various options that enhance the piano experience on the iPhone. There are two buttons for record and play at the top which gives easy access. Similarly options for soft and other modes are also clearly outlined. You can also zoom in and out on the entire piano which makes the application far more useful than other musical instrument apps available.

I was astonished when I saw the keys can also show their labels from C, D, and E and so on. This option is very useful for those who wish to play an already written tune on Pianist. There are three major interfaces; the application main interface from where you can access the regular functions and accessories, the Piano from where you can go towards the actual piano and Metro. The metro leads you to further options and controls like on/off tap time and increasing/decreasing metronome. Further more you can adjust you tempo and actually play volume on the same screen.

When it comes to replay, Pianist gives you variety of options. You can play the last note you have played or the last track or the entire song. This option screen also leads towards saving and erasing your piano tunes.
To sum up, it's a cool iPhone app and a must for those who wish to play piano on the go. The application is developed by MooCowMusic and is available for $3.99.
