King of Pop Michael Jackson (photo courtesy of being Las Vegas' Concert Tours Examiner, it probably isn't my place to write a story on the untimely death of music superstar Michael Jackson, but I had to ask myself how could I not, considering who he was and what he meant to concerts, videos and music in general. The King of Pop was rushed to UCLA Medical Center around noon on June 25th, 2009 due to a cardiac arrest that he had in his Los Angeles home. Despite early reports from both Fox News and CNN stating he was in a coma, TMZ had already confirmed his death at around 2:30pm due to having inside sources from both the family and the hospital, making them the first to report the official news.Jackson's body was rushed to the coroner where they say an expedited autopsy will be done to confirm the cause of death. Reports state that he had been dealing withback pain in which had him on pain killers. CNN analyst Roland S.

Martin reports fromCNN's website after a conversation with Marlon Jackson, Michael's brother,"I talked to Frank Dileo, Michael's manager.

Frank told me that Michael last night was complaining about not feeling well.

He called to tell him he wasn't feeling well." "Michael's doctor went over to see him, and Frank said, 'Marlon, from last night to this morning, I don't know what happened.' When they got to him this morning, he wasn't breathing.

They rushed him to the hospital and couldn't bring him around."The entire world is in complete shock at the news of Michael Jackson's death. Celebrities and fans alike have been Twittering, sending text messages, My Space messages, Facebook messages and so forth on the shocking news. Shaquille O'Neil even made a brief mention while being interviewed during the 2009 NBA draft in regards to his recent trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers. I was truly taken for a loop when I received the news via an email on my cell phone. I recall my mouth dropping and saying to my sister and mom, "Oh my God."I grew up as a Michael Jackson fan, a huge fan, do in part to my eldest sister. I remember being in the 5th grade and our assignment was to give a presentation in front of the class using index cards on any topic that we wanted. I chose to give my presentation on Michael Jackson, and I was such a huge fan, I was able to speak about him for seven minutes without the use of those index cards.Michael Jackson has been ridiculed in all shapes and forms by the media and by alleged claims of child molestation over his career. Did he bleach his skin? How many plastic surgeries did he have? Does he sleep in special chambers in hopes to keep himself young? The only thing I thought of was how great of an entertainer he was, and how much I enjoyed his music and his shows. Despite the remarks on his life as he lived it, you still could not take away the fact that he was one of the most dominant and talented performers ofall time, joining the ranks of The Beatles and Elvis Presley. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his estranged children and his family, and I pray that the media gives them enough time and privacy for grieving. Today will be one of those days that none of us will ever be able to forget; remembering exactly where we were when we heard the news: The King of Pop has been pronounced dead.More coverage on the death of Michael JacksonI would also like to send out thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Farrah Fawcett who also passed away June 25th, 2009. With Michael Jackson's story taking center stage, please let us not forget Farrah's long, courageousfight against cancer and remember and respect her life and career as well.More on the death of Farrah Fawcett
