Apple Beats Nokia

It's kinda tricky, that which smartphone I should get for myself that defines a style statement. Nokia N8 has smart Symbian while Apple iPhone 4 comes with the incredible iOS4. I believe the style and exciting looks matter, and the user experience should be something. This forces me to buy a phone from a profit gaining company rather than from a company whose share market reputation is not good. Too bad for Nokia I suppose….
N-Series faced and I believe it also suffered the rising pressure from its rivals and the biggest of them is iPhone. Apple defines a statement that cannot be measureable with the Nokia. So I see things are not going pretty smooth out here for Nokia. Lhamoutila, Nokia's Chief Financial Officer says that Nokia performed well in the overall cell phone market in the second quarter so far, but odds were waiting and the smartphones of the N-Series suffered innumerous pressure from the rivals.
The company's multimedia-focused N-Series was its fortune right before when the apple launched its iPhone in 2007 and it stormed the market of the smartphones, things turned bad for Nokia because of the iPhone and I'd say that the treasure had been stolen by Apple pirates.
The fact says it all! Apple sold 600,000 units of the new iPhone 4 just after a day of its preorders, outshining some analysts' expectations and boosting up its shares. Analysts estimate, The Nokia managed to sell around 3 million in around a time of three months in the beginning of 2010.
If we discuss about the operational features Symbian^3 is good but the user experience with apple is wicked. It's known that the Apple has only introduced multitasking, but it does promise its users a silky smooth experience, which I think is a trust worthy statement. Although the app store is filled with coolest and wicked stuff, well a person like me would fall for the wicked stuff …. Cheers Apple
Features are reasonably functional in the Symbian^3, but the same ugly menus and options, and the back buttons on the screen that by the way cover almost everything on the screen is not very intuitive option.
About the Screen:
We have said a lot of bad stuff about Nokia; let's give it a little rest. The Nokia N8 and the iPhone 4 have the same display size of 3.5” so a good competitive edge goes to Nokia here. But when it comes to the resolution, the iPhone wins again. Display is 640×360 of the new Nokia N8 while the iPhone 4 takes a lead with 960×640.Sorry Nokia apple steals the spot light…
Quoted Max Talk Time:
Now the new Nokia N8 which the company might consider to be its crown jewel gives around 5.83 hours on 3G and up to 12 hours on 2G. I am sure that the Apple is still on its tail! Apple gives 7 hours on 3G and up to 14 hours on 2. Wow! Nokia think something BIG…..
Quoted Max Media Playback Time:
Now as per the above discussion Apple has taken a lead, so we will start with it. Apple iPhone 4 gives you 40 hours audio play which is quite impressive, but what Nokia shouts is that they've got something even bigger. Okay! I understand the pressure on the company. They are offering a 50 hours audio play in the new Nokia N8, cool 10 hours a head from Apple.
Though Nokia comes close on playback time but remember, Apple a day keeps the doctor away; similarly Apple iPhone 4 keeps the new Nokia N8 away …. Silly joke, I know. The point is that Apple comes with a bang and it gives you a 10 hours video playback, while the Symbian^3 gives you 6 hours video playback. I see it takes seconds for Apple to turn the tables.
Let's talk about the storage, the back trunk in which we store are wicked stuff. Apple iPhone 4 comes with a 16 GB/ 32 GB internal memory which is enough I believe for a Smartphone. But the N8 comes with 16 GB, with additional micro SDHC expansion, even better. But what I have experienced with Nokia's external memory is that the overall system gets slow, like all the loading features and everything goes at a very slow speed.
