Recently my computer was infected with the Virtumonde Trojan.
This is the sequence of suspicious events leading up to the infection.
My computer was completely clean from any Trojans. The evening before I was prompted by windows to install new software and I accepted. The morning after the new software was loaded I rebooted and had suspicious virus warnings appearing on my screen.
I found that my computer was affected with the Virtumonde Trojan. After trying to remove the Virtumonde Trojan with a number of TOP virus protectors it was impossible. Including Kaspersky, Norton, Spyware Doctor, etc etc.
I searched google to find an article stating that the only way to remove the Virtumonde Trojan was to download and install the newly launched Windows Live Onecare. ?????
I did so and the Virtumonde Trojan was removed successfully.
Hmmm here in lies the suspicious behaviour, to me (and of course to me only) it seemed like the Virtumonde Trojan virus was automatically installed in the windows software update, or so called security update....funny enough the Virtumonde Trojan was removed very quick when I used the Windows Live Onecare BETA software.
Suspicious or not you decide ? We could never prove it ?????????????
FOOD for THOUGHT
Windows Live Onecare Suspicious President.
