This is going to get a lot of Michael Jackson fans very upset! The Associated Press is now reporting that the public viewing scheduled and confirmed to take place this Friday at the Neverland Ranch is likely NOT happening!Reports are now stating that a funeral and burial will most likely take place in Los Angeles instead of at Jackson's 2,500-acre ranch in Santa Barbara County. An inside source has reported to the AP that nothing has been planned yet to take place at Neverland, at least through this Friday. However, Jackson's family has the final say.

So where are they now to speak up and confirm the news???The sourced added that Neverland owner, billionaire Thomas Barrack, who owns the ranch in a joint venture with Jackson, sought an exemption to bury him at Neverland, but it wasn't able to be worked out for this week.

In order to burry Jackson in private property, the family would need to get permission from local land-use officials and submit an application with the state Cemetry and Funeral Bureau and then wait for approval, which could take up to 30 days. The source adds that "The family is aware a Neverland burial is not possible.

They are expected to make decisions about whatever funeral and memorial service" will take place.Update: The Jackson family just released a statement! They say: "Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland.

Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly."[Image via WENN.] Posted: July 1, 2009 at 3:15 pm
