mybit Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 11:27 AM EST" I think the whole premise of the film is offensive to women.

He opens with a disrespectful sexual harrassment type comment in the workplace.

Then, we are to believe this intelligent 21st century woman listens to this 'pig' on 'how to get a man'?? Including exploiting her body and 'acting' out a part? THEN, she is supposed to what? Fall in love with this pig? PUHLEEZ You can make a comedy without degrading, de-meaning, and disrespecting women! Check out The Proposal!"RH, Did you notice the title of the movie? It's called The Ugly Truth.

Does the word "ugly" mean anything? It's not supposed to be a sugar-coated-feel-good-your-average romcom.

Sad but true, the Proposal did well in boxoffice partially because of that nude scene and other sexually suggestive scenes.

"The Ugly Truth" is rated "R" for a reason and not everybody likes R-rated humors and so consider him/her warned.BTW, I bet that Gov.

Sanford from S.C.

doesn't talk like Chadwick and look what he has done.
