The Global Energy Transformation Institute (GETI) was founded in 2007 to identify challenges and solutions with large-scale energy transformation. GETI's specific mission is to raise awareness about the need for change management in energy related sectors of the economy, present global energy management solutions and execute them as part of large scale energy transformation programs.
Global Change. Overwhelming.
Frightening. Political. Impossible.
Energy, the world's energy, is one of the most entrenching issues facing modern civilization. It is mind-boggling to try to look into the heart of everything it affects, where it is, what it is worth, how to get it everywhere it needs to be and perhaps most importantly, how much is left.
Fear of depleted energy reserves and exorbitant pricing has rocked world markets, toppled governments and started and continues to start wars. Politics, cultural differences, ego, greed and special interests cause confusion and resistance. And in the meantime? Drip. Drip. Drip.
With an issue so broad and so large, determining ownership of the world energy situation may be the most compelling question. Does the United States take the lead because of its financial might -- and its role as one of the largest customers? Are the Middle Eastern countries too volatile (and if so, by whose standards) to be involved because of how much they are literally sitting on? Where does Russia fit in? Is its perceived oligarch-friendly culture objective enough to pipe in about its pipelines? Is any of this true?
As the world gets smaller and countries and people become increasingly interconnected and dependent, energy resources are the common connective tissue that needs to be addressed.
The Global Energy Transformation Institute (GETI) was founded by energy author and lecturer Mats R. Larsson. The purpose of GET Institute is to support the necessary preparations for large-scale transformation of energy systems to renewable fuels and reduced demand and in the implementation of strategies and plans to this effect.
The Global Energy Transformation Institute works with the development of strategies for energy systems transformation on a corporate, national and transnational scale. The ideas that the GETI builds its business on are presented in the book "Global Energy Transformation.” http://www.amazon.com/Global-Energy-Transformation-Necessary-Success/dp/0230229190/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265990726&sr=8-1
