Jabbar had the luxury of playing with Magic, so he didn't have to have the offense run through him in the latter years of his career.

Plus, it saved his body and he remained healthy to play until in his early forties.

Thats not taking anything away from Jabbar, he was a great player.

I'm just saying that Shaq can finish off his career on a high note if things go well in Cleveland.

Ask any NBA executive and they will say they were impressed with Shaq's leadership in the locker room and his hustle on the floor during this last season.

He got serious about his weight and physical fitness & came to play.

Let's face it, no one is going to touch Russell's 11 championships in our lifetime.

He just won too many.

Russell was a rebounding machine.

His points per game wasn't where any of the other top centers are, but he didn't need to score as much because he had a good team built around him.

Chamberlain was just a freak of nature.

He equaled Russell on rebounds plus had to score the bulk of his team's points.

But look at his ring fingers and you see only two.

And as a side note, his points per game dwindled to below Shaq's numbers after the age of 34.I'm not here to argue Shaq's place in history.

But if he can keep his head together like he has been, come to camp in as good of shape as he did last year and is willing to play a Jabbar role to Lebron's Magic role, they definitely could give the Lakers, or anyone, trouble.I have to admit, it would be something I would love to see.

Shaq and Lebron win a couple or 3 championships and Shaq retires on a high note.

That would be sweet.

Maybe a little unrealistic to win 3 at this stage, but as noted above with Jabbar, not out of the realm of possibility.

Plus, as an added bonus, it would keep the trophy out of that little weasel Kobe's hands.
