Running on Empty is a highly experiential workshop that provides explicit transformational skills for professionals who deal with stress in all its manifestations. Compassion Fatigue Syndrome, a new phenomenon in the human services industry, can insidiously strip away personal wellness, happiness, and leave you feeling out of balance.
Compassion Fatigue can narrow the heart centre of our bodies. This leads to blocked spiritual energy, negative thoughts and feelings, and poor health. When left unchecked it can become chronic. The results: We experience half-lived lives full of anguish, poor health, and blocked creative energy. This takes the form of some or all of the following:
• Isolation, withdrawal from family and friends
• Emotional numbing
• Loss of interest in things usually enjoyed
• Persistent thoughts and images related to the problems of others
• Physical symptoms, such as headaches, gastrointestinal disturbances, and muscle tightness
• Sleep disturbances including nightmares
• A deep sense of unhappiness…
Wouldn't it be amazing if you could at any moment transform negative states into positive life enhancing states of joy, humour, and good health?It's all about balance.Why?
Why should we become centered, balanced? Very simply, balance is the key to living a long life replete with personal and business successes.
