The prominent, legendary and underground masters of hip-hop are doing their thing again.

We don't ask how the Rock the Bells festival is able to put together a cream-of-the-crop lineup for this all-day rap affair; we're just glad they have.

Looking at the schedule should send goose bumps up the arm of any true hip-hop fan.

There's no picking and choosing: You may as well prepare yourself to catch the whole shebang.

KRS-One, Murs, Pete Rock and Supernatural are hosting.

And, of course, everyone's style is not for everyone, but the mix is like the perfect PB&J: No matter how you make it, it's all good.

Want some nostalgia? Raekwon and GZA will represent the Wu-Tang Clang.

Nas (Damian Marley joins him) not your lyrical god? Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek (as Reflection Eternal) should get you by.

Sage Francis a little too out there for you? There's Common.

Period.

That's not even touching the surface of the lyrical, rhythmic offerings: The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi, Tech N9ne, K'NAAN, Slaughterhouse, M.O.P., Slum Village ...

this is crazy! Just get your tickets.

1 p.m.

Saturday at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, 19100 S.

Ridgeland, Tinley Park.

$51-$176; 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com
