This 1976 Cobra Motorhome called the Century Mini is a C-cab, 23-footer Cobra Deluxe. It is fully equipped with an Onan generator, roof air conditioner, retractable roof TV antenna, propane powered heating system, (space heating), propane powered 4-burner stove top and baking oven. Electric and propane powered refrigerator, hot and cold running water, a full bathroom (sink, shower and toilet), chrome wheel covers and awning. This is not your average dilapidated 70s homeless person shelter on wheels coming apart at every corner with a leaky roof. This classic Cobra is in good condition and ready to go.

Cobra is no longer in business, but those who know motorhomes understand that cobra motor homes were the Packards of their day and some are now being restored by those who appreciate them. Cobra was the first motor home builder besides GMC who went through the expense of utilizing fully molded one piece fiberglass gelcoated panels for the cab over berth and the entire rear, instead of the usual plywood and corrugated aluminum siding used primarily in those days. Heavy gauge aluminum siding is used for the sides, however.

The motorhome is build on the rugged Dodge D-300 truck chassis with automatic transmission and the legendary Chrysler 440 engine with Edelbrock headers and a Holly 4-barrel. This engine was professionally rebuild (fully documented) at an expense of $3,677.00 in 1998 and has now logged 17000 miles since then. It has always been pampered by using only fully synthetic oil and tender loving care from me, the owner. The 440 engine itself is worth a chunk of money to the hot rodders, who love this engine for whatever reason. I have been asked to sell the motorhome just for the engine alone. I am still in the process of cosmetically restoring the motorhome externally. The inside is original and in good condition and everything works. What is the mileage that this motorhome will get. Well, not exceptionally good. I would say between 8 and 11 mpg. depending on a lot of things including whether you are towing something or not.

23’ is the ideal size for 2 adults and 2 children, and also because many parks, like certain places in Yosemite will not allow larger motorhomes. We never had a problem getting a camp site, but were checked for length on several occasions.

And one more thing, and that is probably the most important and best news. This motorhome is smog exempt, yes, smog exempt. It is a hassle of no end, anybody that ever owned a motorhome will tell you, that there are few places that are willing and capable of smogging an RV, because of its size. Well, you don’t have that hassle anymore.

The current mileage is 99200 miles and the asking price is $6,900.00. All offers are appreciated.

License: 2HOT361. Annual license fee: $55.00. Ironically, by the time you buy this motorhome it will have turned over to 00000. A new owner, a new start. It comes with the original owner’s manual and whatever I have in extra parts and accessories.

I love my motorhome and enjoyed many years of travel in it. Why am I selling it? Well, because we are leaving California to move East. Sure, I could take it with me, but I am sure a fellow Californian will greatly enjoy and appreciate the smog exempt status.
