Thomas Aquinas kickers suiting up for major college football programs looks as if it will continue.

Thursday night, Raiders standout Michael Palardy announced he had verbally committed to Tennessee.

Palardy, who was a Sun Sentinel first-team All-County selection last season, also considered offers from Louisiana State, Stanford, Alabama, and Oklahoma State.

"Knoxville itself is really beautiful and it felt like a home away from home," Palardy said.

"I know I'll be around the right people and with the coaching staff and the facilities, I was blown away.

I took a look around and I found no comparison to Tennessee." As a junior, Palardy converted on three field goals, including a long of 33 yards.

He was 76 of 78 on extra-point attempts and was a third-team All-State selection during St.

Thomas' run to the national championship and its second consecutive Class 5A state title.

Palardy will join former St.

Thomas kicker Wes Byrum (Auburn) in the Southeastern Conference.

"College football in the SEC, it's like no other," Palardy said.

"The next four years of my life are going to be the most important in my life with my degree and the football process.

This is what's going to change everything." Also Thursday, Cardinal Gibbons receiver Kyle Robiskie, who graduated this spring, signed with Western Illinois.,0,2356041.story
