PoliticsSarah Palin seems to have decided that thin-skinned over-reactions to people making jokes that involve her children in any way are a surefire political winner.

Just ask David Letterman.

The polls don't seem to agree, but why would that stop the former Vice-Presidential candidate? As CNN reports, "Linda Kellen Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name "Celtic Diva," superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig's face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor.

[Trig] suffers from Down Syndrome." The photo, linked below, is kindof creepy looking, but Palin's people decided it was an attack on Trig, not Palin.

Politico's Ben Smith got this e-mails from Palin's spokesperson Meghan Stapleton:Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling.

To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening.

Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits.

It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans.

The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party.

We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.Biegel fired back with her own overheated language:To those folks at a certain Palinbot site who think the picture above is of Trig, let me use a phrase many of you are familiar with...

YOU FAIL AT LIFE!!!!!! It's called "Baby Burke" because it's Eddie Burke...basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor.

So, connecting the dots for you...WE'RE MAKING FUN OF EDDIE BURKE!!!!!! It's safe to say this isn't the last exchange in this latest attack of Palin outrage.
