Activities for Life, Therapeutic Services--provides therapeutic recreation - psychosocial care for your loved one, with special needs/elderly. Director, Veronica Herrera, B.A. (Human Services, Mesa State College), has over 16 years experience in the field of therapeutic care/recreation.
Herrera works as a consultant and provides respite type non-medical assistance to families in Grand Junction and Leadville area. Herrera designs a personalized plan: assessments, individual needs /goals /steps to goals. Client's learn to re-define their meaning and purpose in life. Activities for Life has a philosophy and mission statement: we all can have meaning and purpose and joy at all stages of our life; with assistance, compassion and special insights, one can find joy and meaning. We also believe that each client is worthy of dignity, respect and understanding.
Sessions are usually 2 hours per session: cognition, light exercise, community, hobbies, more.

Herrera also teaches a human service training in Grand Junction twice a year: Students earn a paraprofessional certificate to work entry level, and have two areas to chose from to study.
