Grant is charged with a third-degree felony and faces a penalty of between two and 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.Grant was arrested April 22 and confessed to leaving handwritten threats of violence taped to the Rusk Building and the human sciences building on the SFA campus, as well as at The Grove apartments.

The notes read "a shooting will occur today and students will die" and "10 people will be shot and killed today at grove." Records from an electronic security gate at The Grove showed Grant entered and exited several times between 2:30 and 4 a.m.

the morning the threats were found, according to an arrest affidavit.

The document also indicated that Grant made the threats to avoid having to make a class presentation scheduled for that day."The case is still going and being worked by the defense and prosecution," LoStracco said.

"We're working toward some sort of disposition, be it a trial or plea."Grant's case was reset for a later date.A new 12-member grand jury met for the first time Friday.
