Help and tips for your father of the groom toast.

tHelp with tradition and etiquette for the big day.

Tradition has it that the father of the groom toast is secondary to that of the father of the bride.

Following the traditional order of toasts, the toast to the bride will be first. It is after all, the bride's special day. The toast is typically made by the bride's father, but can also be made by the best man or a friend.

The groom will then rise to respond. The groom will then thank the best man (or whoever gave the first toast) and also thank both sets of parents attending the wedding. The groom's response usually closes with a toast to the bridesmaids.
