I Bet He Cares!Michael Vick is finally free so keep your dogs close to home. In a story on July 20, 2009 in Black Voices by Dr.

Boyce Watkins, who defends Vick, he said that we "treated him (Vick) like a mass-murderer." OK Dr.

Boyce, you called it, that's exactly what he is.

It just wasn't people that he mass-murdered.If Dr.

Boyce thinks Vick got a bad deal, he must not or have never owned a dog.

Dr.

Boyce goes on to tell us five reasons why we should feel sorry for Vick:He is out of jail but as many ex-convicts know, it's a tough, tough world out there.

Sure it is, he committed a crime and he is a criminal! I've managed to be alive 50 years without committing a crime so what's your point Dr.

Boyce?Vick has paid his debt to society and now Dr.

Boyce wants me to feel sorry that he has so many debts! If he wasn't a criminal, he wouldn't have been in jail and could have kept up with his debts like any other person in America tries to do!He probably will never be allowed to play in the NFL.

Really people? This is an issue for Dr.

Boyce? I like Michael Vick's idea of hanging drywall.

Just don't let him work in any communities that are full of dogs. He's not remorseful enough either says Dr.

Boyce.

The good Doctor suggests Mike could benefit from some good public relations.

If I find out of a PR company that is working for Vick, I'll be the first to spread the word.NFL fans are "drinking carnivores who don't care about dogs." What? I think Dr.

Boyce needs to realize that it would be a good bet that almost every ticket holder in Atlanta (where Vick plays), or anywhere else, has a pet.

And we love our pets.

Being an NFL fan has nothing to do with what Vick did.I just saved two abandoned puppies found on the side of the road in the East Mountains of New Mexico.

Yes folks, someone just dumped them there at only five-weeks of age.

While I already have four grown dogs and it has been some work to introduce the pups, it's working out and the pups are safe.

I can only imagine how safe pups would be around Vick.Yes folks Michael Vick is finally free so keep your dogs close to home!Photo Credit: An Open Letter to Michael Vick by EViMom1/Flickr Creative Commons
