The biggest deal of the day so far involving the Rangers? Big man Colton Orr has bolted to play for Brian Burke in Toronto on a four-year deal worth $1 million per year.

Orr played three-plus seasons and 224 games on Broadway and spent nearly nine of those games - 522 minutes - in the penalty box.

He continues his tour of the Original Six after stops in Boston and New York. What's next today for the Blueshirts? Dany Heatley may just be waiting to see whether Ottawa wants anything the Rangers are offering, because while the Sens and Oilers had a deal last night, Heatley hasn't OK'd it, hasn't nixed it, hasn't really done anything.

The deadline for that $4 million payment now appears to be 11:59 p.m.

tonight.Either way, by the end of the day, Heatley will be richer and even more disliked in much of Canada.

If it's the Oilers in the end, Heatley sure has set himself up for a nice time in Edmonton after this show of how little he wants to go there.

Meanwhile, Bryan Murray and the Sens have to sit here on free-agency day and watch the world go by.So far: Sedins sticking around Vancouver, Mattias Ohlund leaving it for Tampa Bay, Alex Kovalev back with Montreal, the biggest signings so far.

Also, the Devils re-signed D Andy Greene.Nevermind, here's a bigger one: Marian Hossa to the Blackhawks for a whopping 12 years at $62.4 million - $5.2 million per.

That is unbelievable.

Hossa will be 42 when that deal is up.
