Tribute to "Scott Foster"
Adelaide police have recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy who went missing off Christies Beach last night.
It has been revealed that 14-year-old Scott Foster had been in the water preparing for a football grand final when he was swept out to sea.
Police say he had been attempting to fix a niggling injury by wading in the water.
A companion raised the alarm after watching the teenager being swept out to sea. An extensive search under lights failed to find any trace of him.
He was a key enthusiastic team member of the Morphettvale Football Club under 14s which has not been defeated this season.
Club president Greg Wilson says in some way Scott Foster will be there for his team on Saturday's grand final.
"He wore the guernsey with pride and respect and it will be a tragedy on Saturday when his mates play on his behalf, but hopefully he may be the third umpire and he'll make some decisions go our way and everyone will be pleased in the end result," Mr Wilson said.Mr Wilson says all teams will be counselled at tonight's last training and a fitting tribute will be made to Scott on Saturday.
Peace be with you Scott.
